Did someone say chocolate fondue?
Chocolateria San Churro is one of the many chocolate houses popping up rapidly around Melbourne. And why not, chocolate sure as hell sells. The more chocolate the better.
Like Max Brenner, Lindt, Koko Black and other similar franchises, one of the key sinful indulgences available here is a wide range of rich, thick hot chocolates. I had a classic spanish hot chocolate and well… it’s like a little pot of melty hot chocolate heaven.
UNLIKE Max Brenner, Lindt, Koko Black and other similar franchises, the selection of chocolate based desserts is limited. The menu (unsurprisingly) focuses on churros, and if you’ve never had one of these sugary cinnamon-y sticks of doughnut-y goodness well you really need to go out and try one because they are fabulous, particularly when they are fresh and hot out of the fryer.
Chocolate Fondue for Two included (for us)
- mini churros (everything tastes better when its cute, right?)
- pretzels (for that sweet and salty goodness)
- strawberries (or other fruits)
- crushed nuts
oh and those awesome little forks that make me think, should I be wielding this? am i going to poke my eye out?
